About The Vendor

The name Frozen Paddle is a nod to both history and craft. Inspired by the paddle steamers that once journeyed up and down the Fraser River—lifelines of connection and commerce in early British Columbia—and the churn paddles used in traditional ice cream making, our name is a playful reflection of our love for ice cream and the community it creates. It’s fun, it’s nostalgic, and it captures the spirit of what we do: bringing people together over small-batch, hand-crafted ice cream.

In late 2014, we were watching the craft beer movement blossom across Canada. Independent breweries were popping up in towns big and small, creating gathering spaces, telling local stories through their products, and putting quality above convenience. We asked ourselves: what if ice cream could do the same? What if we could take this timeless treat and reimagine it through the lens of craft, community, and creativity?

That question turned into a mission—to make ice cream that’s rooted in place, made with integrity, and served with joy. We source local ingredients whenever possible, experiment with bold and unexpected flavours, and handcraft everything in small batches to ensure the highest quality. We believe ice cream should be more than a sweet treat—it should be an experience that brings people together.

Since day one, Frozen Paddle has been about more than just dessert. It’s about slowing down. Sharing a moment. Supporting local. Whether you’re trying one of our adventurous seasonal flavours or sticking with a nostalgic classic, we hope every scoop reminds you of the joy in small things—and the power of community.
